How Bout Dem Curls? A Simply Divine DIY
Here's a great solution to being bored on a weekend morning, possibly after a run! I wish I could say that the results are instantaneous, but they're not--in reality, a decent result can be reached after a long night of sleep, and the BEST results come after about a night of sleep, a full day, and another night. With wet hair. But it's 100% worth it! Here's how to get great curls without hurting your hair, totally natural and never losing their shape.
Here's what you'll need:
*hair ties (I used four for mine, but two work too, whatever you've got on hand)
*a shower
*a pillow
*a head of hair

OOTD: Fashionably Hiking Fo' Sho'
Like the fox mask? I guess you could say that I'm Foxface. That was for all of those Hunger Games fans out there! Also, the festive lights are quite jolly too... fa la la la la.
Sweater: (ugh) Justice--in my defense, it's quite old, from my almost-tween days
Shirt: H&M, I believe...?
Jeans: H&M--why, I'm a walking (ahem, hiking) advertisement for the store!
Belt: yep, H&M
Polka-dotty socks: Ross, from my trip to San Francisco in August

We're Gonna (pause) Rumble, Tumble
Today is our grade's ''cultural" field trip to go see a Spanish dancing performance (cueCA! CueCA!) and afterwards eat out at Madeleine's Petit Paris, which is supposedly a delicious French restaurant, even though us kids only got three choices of entree and dessert and appetizer, a few of which aren't even French. But they do have chocolate mousse, which is the greatest thang ever, though I doubt they could beat my mom in the making of it.*
I'm wearing my Tier-3-in-the-handbook outfit-- pictured above... can't wait, everybody! I get to sit with PAHM and Chippy (lol) at a table! WOOT WOOT

Packing Supplies
Hey guys! We are all California bound today, but for now, I just want to make at least one outfit :-) I'm super-excited though. Here's a list of all the stuff that I have in my carry-on for plane/car entertainment:
*two books; one from the library and one from Barnes and Noble (yes, only TWO books! Me, the complete bookworm, reading only TWO BOOKS in a week! Can you believe it?)
*sketchbook and colored pencils--to draw fashions, of course!
*a Betty and Veronica comic book (that counts as a comic book, right? Or left?)
*iPod, new headphones--I have yet to decorate them, either using googly eyes or duct tape. Which do you guys think would be a cooler effect?--and charger
*String already knotted together for bracelet-making
*Ball of multicolored yarn for finger knitting
*schnazzy butterfly sunglasses that might have fit me about two years ago, but don't really now (when I say 'don't really', what I mean is 'squeezing my head to death with their... smallness')
*pink *ahem, salmon* cardigan in case of a chill on the plane
*two mechanical pencils
*little journal with taxis painted on it
And that's about it! So now for the outfits. I was inspired by Nicole Vad to make some peppy back-to-school sets, so here we are:
a green hedgehogs top, found on snorgtees.com--a cool website for graphic tees that have geeky inside jokes on them and stuff like that. Where else are you going to find a hoodie that says "Octopi" on it with a picture of pi, but with six extra little lines on it?
cute white bubble skirt with a black skinny belt! For those of you who aren't really skirt people, I would recommend maybe a pair of white cargo pants, such as these:
OK, and shoes! If you want to be dressy, how 'bout some flats with bows on them?
Or possibly high-tops like
these cool patchwork guys with shapes on them?
Lastly, we have some clunky animal print bangles and then the outfit is complete!
The bottom one looks like it's drizzled with caramel... see you guys! I hope you have enjoyed this outfit.

Treasury of Trends, pt. 1
Hel-LO, everyone! I know I haven't been doing too many outfits to wear lately, so I'm going to do my best to give my opinions on trends right now, trends in my crazy little fashion bubble, and just cool outfits that you could wear during the summer-to-fall transition. Have fun, and be style-crazy! :)
MY CURRENT OPINIONS ON TRENDS IN THE CURRENT WORLD
that came out weird, didn't it? Durr, of course it's the current world! Whatever...
So, here are the trends that are going on right now in the universe of fashion that I do love and enjoy:
*high-waisted shorts!
These are from H&M, where I just went yesterday for some light jeans shopping. YESSS! I got some colored skinnies, regular skinnies of a lovely dark blue colour, and an adorable polka-dotted, peter-pan-collared top that reminds me of Kenley, a Project Runway season 5 contestant. *sigh* Sorry for sidetracking (SFS?); here are some more high-waisted shorts pics:

*teashades!
I don't think I would wear them if I actually had them, but I still like the idea of them. What do you guys think? Everyone knows John Lennon wore them, but who else does? Plenty of people! I think Harry Potter wore glasses like them...

*Vans! Nicole Vad, you have the right idea, genius girl!
They come in pretty much all colors and all combinations of colors. These look like saddle shoes:
Here're some more:

Sorry guys, I totally forgot that I'm going to volunteer at the Iron Man triathlon now! LOL *smacks forehead* I'll continue this later for sure! thanks for listening.

Kewl Boat Shoes (all mine! Finally!) and Clip-on Tie: Fashion Faux Pas?
Good gasp! Like my Arabic? It means "hello, my avid followers!" and I accessed it through Google Translate. Total-e (as my dear bother likes to say) epic, and not in an "epic FAIL" sort of way at all!! ... I hope :) مرحبا، أمتي متعطشا!
Also, a thank-you for referencing my blog, Emily and Sophie (even though you really didn't need to... but hey, thanks! I appreciate the publicity, if you know what I mean... haw haw! I just ADORE being unexpected...)!
So here's my awesome part-of-an-OOTD (Outfit of the Day, a meaning I literally JUST figured out after months of reading a fashion blog where every single post read "OOTD: *insert random articles of clothing here*"). Firstly, I have this cool pair of Sperry Top-siders that I've just acquired from Zappos.com. Starting off with Cool Thing #1 about them, I'll also give all you curious ones out there (don't worry, I'm one of you too!) the link to see these epic boat shoes: http://www.zappos.com/sperry-top-sider-bahama-2-eye-grey-sweatshirt-fleece-sequins?zfcTest=fw:1. Look for them in "Blue Poseidon," which is a cool design that's right up my alley. Enjoy!
Second on the list is my übercool clip-on tie! Well, it's not really mine; it's my bother's (so what does that say about me? LOL. Now, before you're announcing in your head, "Well, my friend is officially insane...") BUT he was kind enough to let me borrow it. I sooperlurve the pattern. It doesn't exactly go with today's plaid shirt (clashy-riffic, you could say), but I'm too lazy to change :) Sorry for searing your eyes, guys (unwitting rhyme)! Hmm... it actually wasn't as bad as I'd thought...
Like it? No? Well, that's quite all right! Not everyone has weird fashion taste like mine... I suppose that was wishful thinking on my part. Chortle chortle guffaw! So now THIRD on my list is my nail polish. Before you get all excited because my post title said they were "Dr. Seuss" nails, I just want to give some *frowny face* bad news. Although I really, really, really wish that they had, I don't know, little Lorax stickers or whatever on them, they're just themed to look like the hat from the Cat in the Hat... that was quite a mouthful! What I meant was: they're just red and white stripes, along with yellow blobs that happen to have eyes on alternate nails. I'm kinda running out of time, so I'm actually going to post them tomorrow instead. Sorry about that.
stay creative like Dr. Seuss (stay tuned for my post about my heroes! Hint: Dr. S is one of them),
Pinky xx or, as my dear friend AZ Flyer says, Pinksaturn
but pink!
