20 Questions: A Hilarious Must-Have (do I sound like a commercial?)

Halloo, dear geek chic audience! So I was playing on my electronic 20 Questions and it gave me a bunch of funny questions (what else do you expect from good ol' 20 Questions?). I put the object in italics so you can see the amusingness, cause it is right jolly indeedy! ;)

*Can chicken nuggets swim?

*Do squids (yeah, I know, typical) create joy for many people?

*When asked, will carpets run around?

*Does water come in a variety of different colors? (OK, that one wasn't THAT funny, but still...)

*Do holiday lights make a loud trumpeting sound?

*Can Glee the TV show be washed? ('watched', sure, but not 'washed'!)

*Are colossal squids smaller than a golf ball?

This 20 Questions is a barrel of laughs! LOL, see, it's making me virtual-laugh already! Hmm... doesn't take a lot to make me virtual-laugh... LOL LOL LOL LOL (that was fake).
stay delightfully odd like the bizarre and electronic mind of 20 Q,
Pinky xx

Pretty in Purple--Make It Work, Tim!

Why hello, everyone! After yesterday's... incident (sun showers ROCK, as you can see), I think I went a little off the deep end as far as rain, mud, and frizzy hair is concerned, but I'm back in black... er, purple. I realize I haven't done a Polyvore set on here in a while, so I'm going to do that. Before making the following, I constructed a set that I thought was pretty cute, but it was mostly geared toward the back-to-school, hello-September kind of theme, which I figured would probably be sorta depressing to some of you guys, so I'll save that for fall! Anyways... I give to you *trumpeting fanfare* THE ROYAL PURPLE OUTFIT! Huzzah, huzzah, and all that...The Nikes, princessy top, and attention-grabbing polka-dot skirt isn't exactly what I would call a predictable combo, but as Project Runway mentor spectacular Tim Gunn often says--Make. It. Work! And I do believe I did (sorry for having a big head). Please send your feedback of this shall-we-say-interesting outfit through comments!
To Telt the Pelt, if you're reading this (and I hope you are!): can't wait to see you on Thursday, and here's a request: please, please, PLEASE update your blog! I miss it... ☹ On that happy note, I hope PAHM's performance of Wicked went well (yeahhh, Boq!), EJ had fun while making her animated movie of the old lady (?!?), AZ Flyer is having a blast in torrid Arizona, and Amour is enjoying the mosquitoes in Maine! xx Pinky

Part Two of Just Singing in the Rain (read Part One first, please!)

Phew... that was so fun! Two muddy feet and four decapitated mushrooms later, I'm back inside *sob* to take a break. I would definitely do that again... instead of watching TV during a nasty, rainy day, I'll run right outside into the downpour! My activities outside comprised of:
*cartwheeling into the mud
*leaping into the mud
*SINGING IN THE RAIN
*laughing in the rain
*hiding under the canopy of my favorite Japanese maple tree
*smashing my feet into the mud
*doing all my favorite dance moves from Just Dance 3 (hint--Dynamite, Pump It, and Forget You!) in the rain/mud
*messing up my hair with wild leaps
*generally having fun
My friend called me when I was out there, and my dad told her to wait, seeing as I was "tumbling in the mud." Oh, Dad... ☺
Stay refreshing like a sun shower, everyone!
P.S. Now, don't get all upset with me 'cause I didn't see a rainbow. In my defense, I did indeed look! I just couldn't find any. Sorry, rainbow lovers! I saw... mushrooms? And mud?  They're just soopercute! OK, bye for real!

Just Singing in the Rain

Dancing to the music on the TV in the room next to hers, the young child sits. She is rested on a fine dining chair, with a cushion in a fine shade of beige, in front of a newfangled device with a glowing surface, much like a typewriter only much more... what do they call it? Ah, yes: "current," "modern," "hip." Such peculiar words, indeed. Why is she dancing, you may ask? Simply because the music on the commercials is particularly catchy, especially the Hyundai, Mac, and Mini Cooper ("Small works harder"...) commercials. She cherishes every moment, inhaling deeply the sharp fumes of the... the... the dining room? Okay, enough with the italics.
Hellooo, everyone! Today I am dressed quite *cough* fashionably in my track singlet, striped tank top, jean shorts, top knot (I love this style! Here are some good pictures of people with them:     ), and shoelace "headband" of sorts... perfect for a nice day of relaxation! It's looking pretty gross out (what else is new? Rain, rain, and more rain...), so I guess that means I won't be running anytime soon. Time for Just Dance, eh?
... Well, this is interesting! It's a sun-shower! I can't help myself... I'll be right back; running outside to dance and siiiing in the rain. SERIOUSLY!

Clueless About the Olympics--What's Up With That?

HAPPY SUMMER OLYMPICS, 2012!!! I feel annoyed at myself because during the 2008 Summer Olympics, I was pretty much monitoring everything that all the gymnasts and runners did (even before I started track), and this year? I didn't even know the Olympics were in London! I used to have this old tape recorder that I basically idolized when I was about 8 or 9, and my neighbor and I would just use it nonstop. It was actually my mom's for work interviews (sorry about that one, Mom! Or as I would say AFK--away from keyboard--"BUSTED!"), but being a sneaky little kid, I probably used reverse psychology or something to deviously get Mom to "loan" it to me...
So anyway, I would sing these crazy songs with my neighbor, most of them comprising, "My brother is stinky, sooooo stinky, aaand plus he smell-ell-ells" as 8-year-old girls love to broadcast, but they were quite fun to write! Then we would go into my backyard and throw water balloons at each other and stuff, but the point of the story was that I adored that tape recorder. Then my neighbor and her family moved to... ("where was it again, Mom? Oh yeah, right. Thanks!") India for the year, so I started to use it for myself. I watched almost every part of the Olympics that I could and recorded them with my dad (who was texting on the bed or something, LOL) and a month-old little brother who cried every time he heard the Olympics song (link here: brings back memories, right? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOBcACUD_Cs). Here's the one thing I really remember--there were a TON of car commercials! I mean, c'mon, people. How many 8-year-olds you know are buying Acuras and Maseratis during the Olympics?! Other than that, I was very entertained by watching and really want to listen to the recordings. Wow, that story really had no point, did it?
MOVING ON... to fashion! I've discovered through Polyvore a new trend: Peter Pan collars. I think they're adorable and I'm going to post some cute outfits and dresses, shirts, etc. right this minute! Enjoy.
        (looks good with stripes, no?)

Performances, Performances (Oh, yeah! Good luck to PAHM as Boq!)

HELLO!
Well guys, as you may have figured out from me ditching this blog for--how long was it again?--ah yes,   a week and a day, which is longer than I ever have, I'm taking a break from blogging. I may post once in a while, but I wouldn't get my hopes up for, say, a post every day... again, I'm sorry, guys! It's nothing personal, of course :) BUT here's just a recap of what happened over the past week:
*I hung out with my friend EJ and *sigh* got stuck with Heinous Little Brothers 1 & 2 the whole time, but at least we got to make this cool blanket-slash-pillow fort...
*MY FRIENDS PAHM, SLUGGY, AND I MET CHRIS COLFER (Kurt on Glee, but if you don't know who he is, well, I pity you ☺) BECAUSE HE WROTE HIS OWN BOOK AND HAD A BOOK SIGNING RIGHT NEAR MY TOWN!!! My apologies to Telt the Pelt... if I had known sooner, I would have given you at the very least a heads-up!
*My mom's good friend flew over from Chicago to visit for the weekend, and we went to Greenwich, in Connecticut for those of you unaware. It was so adorable! Look out, Boston... plus there were the most delicious crepes there, and we all know how much I love crepes!
*I did a ton of my summer work, so all I have left is some math and science, the latter of which I don't understand at all. Are any of my school friends having trouble as well? I'd love to hear from you in a comment if so!
*I watched the finale of Food Network Star, where my favorite cook Justin Warner won! He's really unique and creative, not to mention a übertalented cook.
*I watched the Teen Choice Awards, where my true love Kevin McHale was co-hosting... and he wore pants with jellyfish on them...  ← (there's Demi Lovato on the right) which happen to be my 3rd favorite animals after squids (#1) and dinosaurs (#2)! There were a lot of cool performances too, like my good friend *wink wink* Flo Rida (although he sounds much better when he's not live... sorry, Flo!) and Carly Rae Jepsen, and... well, you get my point, right? It was entertaining. I made rude and derogatory commentary the whole time, complaining about certain peoples' hair, outfits, songs, and "comebacks" (Gwen Stefani, anyone? Although I must say that I did think her performance was pretty good), and I'm sure that my brother and mother were glad to get away from me and my criticism for a while. Sorry about that, you too! Luckily, my dad was spared.
So I believe that was about it. I'm planning on watching the very first episode of Project Runway, season 10 soon, and I can't wait! I don't think any of them will beat out my dear Mondo, but I could be wrong...
stay cool and start writing your autobiography before you become famous in the field of your choice,
Pinky ~ (darn! Why don't les squigglies look cool in this font? They're quite cute... oh vell. Maybe next font...?)

Collage Fever/Brand-Spanking-New Chatbox

Well hel-LO, fellow extraterrestrials! First off, I want to say I'm terribly sorry that I haven't been blogging in a while. I guess I'm just kind of taking a sort of summer break... but never fear! I'm sure I'll be back to my usual by the time school starts in early September. Sooo... to the point!
I'm so excited for my whole locker! My theme was originally going to be travel, but then I decided at the last minute I was more into the whole "marine life" thing, so I made a collage for that. This past year was kind of a mishmash of fashion, but not really much of anything... but next year's locker will be just awesometatious! J'adore making collages, so I made this cool one with coral reefs and starfish and jellies on it, so that'll be fun! I just got my "early fall 2012" issue of the randomly-scattered-throughout-the-year PB Teens, so I think I might be making one to, y'know, decorate my binders or something with a collage or two expressing my favorite things OR like a back-to-school theme with pencil shavings and the school bus. Sound good? Huzzah! :)
Good news, everyone! I found this great website called chatroll.com. It's basically a website where you can make your own chatboxes for your blogs, sites, tumblrs, etc. I've been having problems with my Gmail account where it doesn't load all the way, so I can't chat with my friends... *NOOOO! LOL*  So I decided to upload one of these! Bear with me for awhile... I really don't understand it that well YET (my inner computer geek hasn't quite kicked in yet), but I will indeed try. Sorry I'm kind of distracted; Heinous Younger Brother #1 is having a meltdown :/ So I hope you'll give it a try! Just scroll down, and there it'll be! See you guys, and be prepared for a craft post coming soon!
stay label-free but with a great P.O.V. like a collage,
Pinky xx
P.S. I also want to thank all my friends SOOO much for being wonderful and keeping on commenting even though I'm not commenting back. You guys are da bomb! Love you all so muchly. I honestly *sniff* don't know what I'd *boo-hoo* do without youuuuu... *mushy moment* Seriously. Y'all rock so much! <3

My Heroes of Wit, Charm, and Utter Uniqueness (hey! That's actually a word!)

Timone looks at the hyenas, the most horrible predator on the savannah to his meerkat race. He is completely overcome with fear. "Hy-hy-hy--" He cannot even say their name.
The female leader of the hyena triosneers at the poor meerkat who is seemingly unable to converse with them.
"Well, "HI" to you too!" she laughs...
And "hi" to you guys! A bit of a dramatic change, no? But that's a good thing, I think... this dialogue was taken from The Lion King 1½, one of the greatest animated movies of its time (in MY opinion, anyway *haw haw!*), but I narrated completely on my own. Thank you, thank you! *applause* Oh, now... that's really not necessary!
Anyhoodles (oh no, not again), THIS post is about my heroes. When I say "heroes", I basically mean inspirational people in my life who I admire, not exactly Superman or the Green Lantern or whatever (that's pretty much the extent of my superhero knowledge ☺). So without further ado, I give to you... my HEROES!
--Dr. Seuss- a truly amazing writer! It's almost impossible to not know who he is, because he ROCKS. You can enjoy and savor many of his books when you're little because of his skilled illustrations and creative wording, but also when you're older because of all the double meaning that is within the story (examples of The Lorax, The Sneetches, and The Butter Battle Book. He also came up with the cutest, coolest characters, such as the Cat in the Hat, whose show my 4-year-old little brother watches non-stop and who I actually "was" for Halloween last year :) How could I not love this guy? I mean, he wears stripes AND a bow tie... double trouble!
--Mondo Guerra-  One of the best fashion designers. Ev-ver (that was for Sluggy!). My mom and I discovered him while watching Project Runway, and I knew he was genius when he started talking about how he loves mixing together patterns, prints, and bright colors, which I love to do too! In short... he rocks. He is a true fashion individual, and that's all I have to say. Here are some of his epic outfits! My all-time fave: Cute! Here are more:
AGH! This is taking much longer than I thought it would. *grimace* I think I'm gonna have to call it quits for today. Dreadfully sorry! But don't worry, I'll continue with people such as Jerry Spinelli, Michael Jackson, and... well, that's all I'm going to give away for now. Will I make a part two? Nope, Chuck Testa! ROTFL (virtual laugh)! Jeeees' kidding, I will indeed make a part two. Have faith!
nope, Chuck Testa to you, too (here's the link to this funny video that kept me and PAHM laughing for centuries: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbUVtfUWwF8),

Yes, Those Are Elephants in the Patterns Corner

Hey there, fellow creatures... or not! *wink wink* I'm aware that I haven't been doing much fashion lately, so let's get to that! I'm sad to say that my computer is being awfully rude by restricting me from commenting. I'm sorry to those who have GREAT posts or regular works of art; as much as I'd like to comment, I'm afraid that I can't. Again, so sorry about this inconvenience :/
On this fine day, I am sharing with you my faves collage--well, my favorite fashions, music, and patterns, and also an additional Circle of Randomness, located in the middle of the collage. See the attached map :) for more detailed instructions. Thanks! Also, sorry the pictures in the Circle of Randomness are so small! To clear things up, the two people are Kurt and Artie, the former being the one who appears to have been attacked by a squid... chortle chortle guffaw!

Random Smattering of Thoughts + California

Ello, guys! Today's post is sort of all over the place. I was SO grateful for your creative ideas on the Suggestions, Anyone? We Need YOU! post; they all sound awesome and I'm planning on using a lot of them. Also a shout-out to the people who want to participate in the nudibranch fad: I want to make some sort of cool virtual badge that you can put on your blogs or Instagram or something, so I'll be working on that. If anyone has done this before, I'd love to hear what website you did it on! Thanks in advance!
I'm very envious of those who are on vacation right now! I know PAHM is in Florida, Amour is in Asia, E.J. is in Tennessee for a soccer tournament which she'll do amazingly on, and AZ Flyer is soon going to the sweltering heat of Arizona (that's what AZ stands for, after all!). Enjoy, guys! Sounds good, right? My vacation plan was simple. Our family was GOING to go to the cosmopolitan Quebec City in Canada, but instead we decided to go to a place fraught with earthquakes, tsunamis, and just all-around natural disasters: California. Doesn't that sound just lovely? Inner voice: GAAAAK!!! But I'm sure it'll be great! I'm definitely a scaredy-cat (that goes without saying if you know me; I run for cover if a foam football goes within a ten-foot radius of me), but I'll get over it... I hope. Wish me luck! Happy fourth tomorrow, too! I'll be a-posting for sure to say what I did (most probably blueberry picking).
stay strong like a *shiver* earthquake--that is, unless you actually ARE one; in that case, try to stay weak, OK?
